Expanding Access and Opportunity
Enhance educational access and workforce readiness by expanding the reach
of high-quality Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs to address the
workforce shortage across all member districts, the community, and the broader
Northeast Ohio region.
Objective 1.1: Regional Satellite Expansion
Establish high-quality Career and Technical Education (CTE) satellite programs designed to reflect each community’s
unique student interests, available facilities, and local workforce priorities.
Objective 1.2: Early Career Exploration
Increase career exploration opportunities, specifically designed for early exposure in 7th through 10th grades.
Objective 1.3: Short-Term Industry Credential Offerings
Expand short-term industry credential-focused opportunities across Northeast Ohio through both high school and adult
workforce education.
Objective 1.4: Workforce Inclusion
Create a Job Training Coordination Program specifically designed to support students with disabilities in securing workbased learning experiences, achieving job readiness, and successfully transitioning into community employment.
Objective 1.5: Seamless Transitions
Create processes to measure equitable access to all CTE programs and guarantee smooth transitions for students
moving into either employment, college, military, or continuing education.
