Message from the
Superintendent
My first year as superintendent at Auburn Career Center has
been both inspiring and energizing. Auburn Career Center has
a long tradition of excellence in career and technical education,
and I am committed to building on that legacy. The focus of my
team has been twofold: exploring the big-picture changes that
will shape ACC’s future, while acting on insights that can make
an immediate difference today.
Over the past several months, we have developed a new
Strategic Plan to guide our growth in the years ahead. This plan
was shaped through extensive community engagement and
data collection. Every voice helped ensure the plan reflects who
we are and where we want to go.
I had the privilege of participating in each focus group,
approaching them as true listening sessions. I wanted to
understand not only what ACC does well, but also where we
can improve. Conversations with students, staff, families,
and business partners gave me an invaluable perspective on
what makes ACC special and a deeper understanding of our
potential.
We’ve already begun putting those lessons into action,
creating new ways for students to connect beyond their
individual programs and strengthening partnerships with local
school districts, businesses, and the broader Northeast Ohio
community. These connections are essential to our mission and
will continue to guide our work moving forward.
Our renewed focus remains clear: to empower students in
Northeast Ohio with the skills and opportunities they need for
workforce success and to prepare them through innovative
career and technical education linked to real-world experiences.
The plan centers on four Core Pillars that define ACC’s path
forward:
Expanding Access and Opportunity
Enhancing Instructional Quality
Aligning Organizational Structure
Strengthening Collaboration
I am grateful to everyone who contributed their ideas, feedback,
and energy throughout this process. ACC’s strength comes from
its people, and together, we are shaping a future filled with
purpose, opportunity, and pride.
